About Us

Founded in May 2000, Rustica Foods is a family run business that has become an industry leader in the production of authentic Italian products, but our story began long before that. In 1958, Giuseppe Morgante opened one of the first Italian bakeries in Montreal and helped introduce fresh tomato pizzas to this vibrant city. Almost 40 years later, the Morgante family open their first Pizzeria and from there Rustica Foods was founded. Today, our name is recognized for our distinguished pizzas, frozen pizzas and focaccias.

Rustica Foods serves four principal market segments:

Retail, Wholesale, Foodservice & Private Label, with;

  • Ready-to-Eat Fresh Tomato Pizzas (without preservatives)
  • Par-baked Premium Pizza Crusts
  • Fresh & Frozen Topped Par-baked Crust Pizzas

Our business’ focus has always been and will always be about creating convenient fresh and frozen pizzas and focaccias of superior quality. Operating in a modern and fully certified facility, equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, has allowed us to continuously flourish. We have created a flexible environment that is critical in meeting our clients demands. This versatility has also allowed us to continue to develop new and innovative solutions, all the while maintaining the highest standards in the production of prestigious products and services – with competitive pricing for retail, national brands and private label customers.
